Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our academic and clinical G.I. Hospitalist, you will become part of a highly respected Gastroenteroloy team that includes general and advanced Gastroenterologist. You will join CHI Health, which is a member of CommonSpirit Health System – The Nations’ largest faith based health system. 

 

Every day you will provide comprehensive inpatient and procedureal services for the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases. You will have the opportunity to work with learners, residents and fellows from our Gastroenterology fellowship program at Creighton University School of Medicine.

 

To be successful in this  role, you will be  board eligible or board certified certified in Gastroenterology. This opportunity is well-suited for physicians passionate about providing comprehensive Gastroenterology services, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to collaboration. You will also demonstrate excellent communication, sound clinical judgement, and the ability to thrive in a collegial, team oriented environment. 

 

This GI Hospitalist Opportunity Offers:

  • Combined Academic and Hospital/inpatient setting
  • Two weeks per month; with a 7 on/7 off schedule
  • Scheduled 0700-1900
  • Take new IP consults, IP rounding on GI service, perform IP endoscopy
  • Dedicated scoping schedule
  • Primary location will be Creighton University Medical Center Bergan (CUMC Bergan campus) on weekdays. 
  • Bergan IP, Lakeside IP campus and Immanuel IP campus
  • No clinic responsibility
  • Opportunity to contribute to the Gastroenterology Fellowship program at Creighton University. Enjoy working with CUSOM Gastroenterology Fellows
  • Participate in Grand Rounds if desired; receive Academic Appointment commensurate with experience
  • On-site Surgical, Interventional Radiology, Bariatric, Pathology and more 
  • Access to an Extensive, Established Specialty and Primary Care Network

  • MD or DO degree
  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine
  • BE/BC in Gastroenterology
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
  • DEA Certification
