Job Summary and Responsibilities

CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner to join our hospital-employed group.

About the Opportunity:

  • Focus: Inpatient care for adults, no Peds, OB, or Trauma. 
  • Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines), order diagnostic tests, assist the doctor with inpatient rounding, discharges, and admissions.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in nursing
  • 3-5 years clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting required.
  • 1-3 years previous experience as a NP in an acute or primary care setting or equivalent RN experience


Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Certificate of fitness through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of TN/GA
  • Licensed as a CRNP in state of TN
  • AHA BLS certification
