Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Family Medicine Physician, you will join a well established physician group at CommonSpirit Memorial Medical Group, Family Medicine, located in Chickamauga, GA. Just south of Chattanooga, this exceptional opportunity allows you to provide comprehensive patient care within a regional healthcare leader, consistently recognized as the #1 Best Regional Hospital in Chattanooga by U.S. News & World Report for 11 consecutive years (and TN's #4), and holding a consistent 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group.

 

In this role, you will conduct thorough patient evaluations, leveraging your expertise to accurately diagnose and expertly treat a wide array of medical conditions. You will provide essential preventive care, guide patients through health maintenance strategies, and empower them with crucial patient education. Your responsibilities will also include adeptly managing chronic diseases, performing minor procedures, and strategically coordinating care with specialists, all while diligently building lasting patient and family relationships. You will meticulously document all encounters, communicate effectively with patients, and ensure strict adherence to evidence based guidelines, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess broad clinical expertise in family medicine, strong diagnostic acumen, and demonstrate a compassionate, holistic approach to patient care. You must be committed to fostering enduring patient relationships and dedicated to continuous professional development. Experience in community focused primary care and a genuine passion for serving as a primary healthcare advocate for our diverse populations will position you for excellence in this impactful physician role.

 

  • Lead comprehensive, continuous, and patient centered medical care for individuals and families across all life stages, significantly impacting community health outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, provide preventive care, manage chronic diseases, perform minor procedures, and coordinate specialist care.
  • Build lasting patient relationships, meticulously document encounters, communicate effectively, and adhere to evidence based guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Primary location will be in Chickamauga, GA (15 minutes from Ringgold, GA; 25 minutes from Chattanooga, TN) 
  • Flexible scheduling with clinic hours Monday through Friday (8:00AM to 4:30PM)
  • Light after hours call; telephone only

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license & DEA in the state Georgia and/ or Tennessee
