Job Summary and Responsibilities

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 550 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a provider to the region’s premier Cardiac Surgery team. 

Opportunity Highlights

We are seeking a capable mid career surgeon with extensive training and/or experience with MCS. Fellowship training is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide array of Cardiac Surgery procedures in addition to ventricular assist devices. This is a 100% Cardiac Surgery position. Cases will be performed at Mercy General Hospital, which has 4 dedicated state-of-the-art Cardiac ORs, 2 Hybrid suites, and a 20-bed Cardiac ICU. Shared call arrangement.  

This individual will provide service in direct support of the Dignity Health Heart and Vascular Institute, offering a complete interdisciplinary cardiovascular services team. Our surgeons perform more bypass surgeries than any other hospital in California and have robust structural, complex thoracic aortic, LVAD, and Robotic Mitral Valve programs.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • California Fluoro license
  • Must be currently US Board Certified
  • Not an H1/J1 opportunity
