Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Colorectal Surgeon, you will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge, comprehensive surgical care within a thriving multi-specialty clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. This expanded service line presents an exceptional opportunity for a board-certified Colorectal Surgeon passionate about surgical oncology, IBD surgery, and complex abdominopelvic surgery (CAPS). You will be a key contributor to the Dignity Health Cancer Institute, leveraging your expertise in colorectal cancer treatment, benign and malignant resections, and advanced surgical techniques to improve patient outcomes.

Every day you will perform a diverse range of procedures, from in-office hemorrhoidectomies and anoscopies to intricate robotic and open interventions for both benign and malignant colorectal conditions. Your typical week will involve approximately 10 half-days of clinic, 4 half-days of endoscopy, dedicated block time for robotic and open surgeries, and managing an average of 60th-70th percentile combined productivity with a patient demographic spanning ages 17+. You will actively participate in a shared, every-other-week call schedule, serving a broad catchment area, including consultations for an established practice and new patient transfers, encompassing a significant hospital-based practice component.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional surgical skills, a dedication to patient-centered care, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-specialty environment that includes General Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, a Trauma team, and the Dignity Health Hernia Institute. You will effectively manage a busy caseload, utilizing support from a clinic APP for post-operative and urgent visits, benefiting from centralized scheduling and a direct-to-colonoscopy program. Your proven experience in gastrointestinal surgery, proficiency with surgical robotics, and commitment to contributing to a growing colorectal surgery program will be paramount in this dynamic opportunity for advancement.

We are offering a competitive 2 year salary guarantee then RVU-based, a sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
