Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon, you will join our newly established orthopedic practice in the TN / GA market at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital. This exciting opportunity allows you to practice in a supportive, physician-led setting with access to cutting-edge technology and a robust referral network within a regional healthcare leader, consistently recognized as the #1 Best Regional Hospital in the Chattanooga area by U.S. News & World Report for the 11th consecutive year (and ranked among the top hospitals in Tennessee, No. 4), and holding a consistent 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group.

Every day you will be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, contributing to a collegial work environment, and upholding the mission and values of CommonSpirit Memorial. You will deliver comprehensive orthopedic care, with a specialized focus on total joint procedures, diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions for diverse patient needs. As part of CommonSpirit Memorial, a faith-based, not-for-profit organization and proud member of CommonSpirit Health, you will be integral to a continuum of care that includes specialized services in orthopedics and rehabilitation, reflecting our unwavering commitment to excellence. Your schedule will include participation in a 1-in-7 call rotation, ensuring balanced coverage and support.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Total Joint Surgeon with a strong commitment to clinical superiority and patient-centered care.

  • Performing advanced surgical procedures with expertise in a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, specifically specializing in shoulder and other total joint cases.
  • Diagnosing, treating, and managing a comprehensive array of musculoskeletal conditions, with a focus on total joint replacement and reconstruction.
  • Ensuring patient-centered care through empathetic communication, clear treatment explanations, and prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, referring physicians, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure seamless and integrated care pathways for total joint patients.
  • Maintaining clinical excellence by adhering to best practices, robustly participating in the 1-in-7 call rotation, and upholding accurate medical documentation.
  • Committing to professional growth through active engagement in ongoing medical education, quality initiatives, and professional development related to total joint surgery.
  • Contributing to a collegial work environment and upholding the mission and values of CommonSpirit Memorial.
  • Leveraging cutting-edge technology and a robust referral network within our newly established practice for total joint care.

Job Requirements

Required

  • MD / DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical licenses in Tennessee and Georgia
  • AHA BLS

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of post-residency experience preferred, but exceptional new graduates will be considered
