Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare by expanding our collaborative care team. We have an opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Endovascular Neurosurgeon in desirable Seattle, Washington. Join the Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) Section of Neurosurgery with a regional and national reputation for excellence in patient care.

Aspects of the Endovascular Neurosurgeon physician role:

 

  • Position information.  Seeking a fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon with strong clinical, surgical, interpersonal and communication skills.  Case mix includes cranial, AVMs, aneurysm, interventional as well as surgical cases.  The primary practice location will be in downtown Seattle. The new provider will be a key contributor and collaborator in the multi disciplinary care of Neurosurgery patients.  

  • Team based approach. Our Neurosurgery team focuses on providing appropriate, compassionate, and multi-disciplinary state-of-the art care for our patients. We believe in advancing the field of neurosurgery through quality patient care, research, and education.  The Neurosurgery team meets regularly for multidisciplinary conferences and clinics, fostering a team-based approach.

Job Requirements

Qualifications;

Endovascular fellowship trained
BE/BC; American Board of Neurosurgery (ABN)
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
