Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified Intensivist Physician to join our collegial, multidisciplinary team in Seattle, WA. As an Intensivist Physician, you will be an integral, highly specialized leader in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing rapid, expert, and life-saving medical care to critically ill patients. This pivotal role is essential for managing complex multi-organ dysfunction, ensuring optimal outcomes, and leading multidisciplinary teams in a high-stakes environment.

Every day, you will independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with severe and life-threatening conditions, applying advanced physiological understanding and evidence-based intensive care practices. You will expertly perform critical procedures, lead daily rounds, interpret complex diagnostic data, and formulate comprehensive, dynamic treatment plans. You will meticulously document all interventions, communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and the entire ICU team, and ensure strict adherence to all clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation range $250.00 - $250.00 /hour

Job Requirements

  • ABA, ABIM, or ABS Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Critical Care
  • Candidates boarded in Emergency Medicine will be considered
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
