Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Rheumatologist, you will join an established, comprehensive practice at Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican, growing our multidisciplinary care team by providing compassionate and expert services to the community of Santa Cruz, California.
 
Every day you will manage a part-time clinical schedule within a multispecialty group, diagnose and manage a wide range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions, and collaborate with internal medicine and specialty providers. You will also participate in clinical education, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives, with an opportunity to help shape and grow rheumatology services within the community.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or eligible Rheumatologist (ABMS or AOA) with a passion for clinical excellence and the ability to work autonomously. Key responsibilities include upholding the facility’s mission, driving patient satisfaction, meeting productivity goals, and fostering a collaborative, safe, and professional environment.
 
We are offering flexible part-time options ranging from 0.5 FTE - 0.8 FTE with a salary range pf $155,000 - $248,000, cost-shared benefits, and a tailored scheduling arrangement for ideal work-life balance. New hires meeting eligibility requirements may also qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and CME allowance.
 

Job Requirements

  • MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Rheumatology (ABMS or AOA)
  • Ability to practice autonomously as a solo rheumatologist
  • California medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Passion for building programs and leading with clinical excellence
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in a team-based, patient-focused environment
