Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a our Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit Advanced Practice Provider, you will be a part a transformative new chapter in Heart Care at Creighton University Medical Center.  

 

Every day you will round on hospitalized patients, providing critical care cardiovascular assessments for patients in pre or post-operative surgery.  The clinician will join a growing team working closely with the Division Chief of Cardiac Surgery as well as other members of the physician team, providing necessary information for team-based care decision making.  

 

To be successful in this role, you will have experienced Cardiology or ICU in previous training or past positions.  Collaboration, and team approach in working with other members of the critical care team will be essential in the delivery of our exceptional care.  

 

The position is a 3/12 shift model and offers, extremely lucrative pay, 401K, light call, dedicated CME time and money, very generous time off, full health, dental, vision and malpractice insurance. 

Job Requirements

Required: 

  • Graduate of an accredited advanced practice training program (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

  • Meet board eligibilty or certification requirments

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska 

  • Strong Floor and bedside skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families
