Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neuosurgery Advanced Practice Provider, you will become part of a highly respected and experienced team. You will join CHI Health, which is a member of CommonSpirit Health System – The Nations’ largest faith based health system.

 

Every day you will provide comprehensive inpatient neurosurgery services. You will have the opportunity to work with an established team of Advanced Practice Providers within our Neurosurgery team. The Neuroscience Institute integrates leading medical experts in the subspecialties of neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology and neurosurgery to offer highly advanced care for patients with the most complex neurological disorders.

 

To be successful in this  role, you will be  board eligible or board certified certified. This opportunity is well-suited for providers who are passionate about providing comprehensive Neurosurgery services, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to collaboration. You will also demonstrate excellent communication, sound clinical judgement, and the ability to thrive in a collegial, team oriented environment. 

 

This Opportunity Offers:

  • Join an Experienced and Well-Respected Team of 5 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers
  • 3 x 12 Hour Shifts: rotating schedule to include weekends
  • Inpatient care: Inpatient rounding & consults
  • Opportunity to perform minor procedures; Placing, removing, and managing ventriculostomies, ICP monitors, and surgical drains. 
  • Support Post Procedure Followup Care & Coordination of Care for neurosurgical Patients 
  • Primary Practice Location at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital, A Level 1 Trauma Center 
  • CHI Health has 5 Omaha-metro area hospitals; well recognized in the region. Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) Bergan campus is academic "hub"

Job Requirements

Required

  • Master's degree
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified 
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
  • DEA Certification
  • BLS

 

Preferred

  • 1+ Years of Experience as a Provider
