Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician, you will help shape the future of our expanding Department of Women’s Health in the greater Phoenix area. This role offers the perfect balance of clinical complexity and academic influence, allowing you to deliver evidence-based care while mentoring the next generation of physicians through our partnership with the Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix.

Every day you will provide complex clinical care, advanced fetal imaging, inpatient consultation, medical education, and have opportunities for research and program development. Practice within a team-based model supported by genetic counselors, dedicated registered nurses, advanced practice providers, diabetes education, experienced perinatal sonographers, and dedicated clinical and administrative staff.

Primary clinical practice location is within our Central Valley market, with flexibility to participate at additional MFM sites based on clinical need, physician interests, and continued program growth.

  • Outpatient Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation and co-management
  • Advanced obstetric ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis
  • Fetal growth assessment and Doppler surveillance
  • Fetal echocardiography and evaluation of fetal anomalies
  • Management of complex maternal medical and obstetric conditions
  • Prenatal diagnostic procedures
  • Inpatient Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation
  • Multidisciplinary maternal and fetal care planning
  • Collaboration with OB/GYN physicians, OB hospitalists, neonatology, pediatric subspecialists, anesthesia, critical care, and other specialists
  • Call responsibilities are shared equitably among the Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians and are currently approximately one week per month

A Growing Academic MFM Program

  • Our division supports an ACGME-accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship through Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix.
  • Faculty participate in the education and supervision of:
    • MFM fellows
    • OB/GYN residents
    • Medical students
    • Sonographers

  • Ultrasound practice is AIUM accredited and supported by an experienced team of dedicated perinatal sonographers.

Opportunity to Build

  • We are looking for physicians who want to contribute to the continued growth of the division rather than simply step into a predetermined role.
  • Faculty are encouraged to develop clinical, educational, research, or quality-improvement programs aligned with their interests and the needs of our patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care while continuing to develop a regional program for women with high-risk pregnancies.

We are offering a competitive compensation package, sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. We also offer a retirement plan with employer match. Qualified candidates may also be eligible for student loan repayment.
