As our Chair, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services at Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health, you will serve as a visionary leader of our Pathology & Microbiology Services and expand our clinical, research, and educational activities.
Every day you will provide world class leadership and work with an established Department of Pathology encompassing a comprehensive range of general and specialized diagnostic pathology. This department operates within a combined hospital setting with a large, well-established referral base inside a far-reaching, integrated healthcare system. The department's clinical training and patient-care missions are delivered in partnership with CHI Health, the University’s academic health system, which includes multiple hospitals, the Henry Lynch Cancer Center, and a large multispecialty physician group serving the Omaha region. In alignment, the Creighton School of Medicine and CHI Health integrate biomedical discovery with high-quality, innovative clinical care. This partnership offers students and trainees hands-on experience across diverse hospitals, clinics, and community settings, thereby advancing the health of the region through clinical programs, scientific research, and community engagement.
To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified pathologist with an M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D., eligible for Nebraska licensure and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, who brings demonstrated success leading an academic pathology department or division of comparable complexity.

Required
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology (Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology)
Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
Credentials appropriate for an appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor (clinical scholar or tenure pathway)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
