Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will join an established and growing network at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group, providing outstanding, comprehensive care to patients in the beautiful and coastal-adjacent community of Lake Jackson, Texas.

 

In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient panel, seeing an average of 18-22 patients daily, from newborns to seniors, under physician supervision. You will diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, emphasize preventative care, and collaborate closely with a dedicated support team. All of this is within a flexible 4.5-day work week designed to optimize your work-life balance.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active or eligible license to practice medicine in Texas. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction, and be adept at working both independently and as a valued member of our collaborative primary care team.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Texas.
  • Strong clinical skills in comprehensive primary care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and management from newborns to seniors (under physician supervision).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented outpatient environment, adapting to a structured 4.5-day work week.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • DEA registration or eligibility for registration.
