Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will join the esteemed team at The Arkansas Neurosciences Institute (ANI) with CHI St. Vincent, playing a pivotal role in a comprehensive program covering all aspects of neurosurgery and neurological disorders. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside internationally renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Ali Krisht where new graduates are welcome to apply and will receive comprehensive training and mentorship.

 

Every day you will provide expert clinical care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, supporting evolving treatment plans. You will play a vital role in helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being, contributing to a program dedicated to providing exceptional care where you can learn, grow, and make a significant impact.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a compassionate and driven Acute Care Nurse Practitioner passionate about neurosciences and dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In your role, you will:

  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions and support their evolving treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, establish accurate diagnoses, and develop individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Prescribe treatments and collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless and comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate and counsel individuals, families, and groups on health promotion, disease management, and maintenance specific to neurological disorders.
  • Evaluate patient health outcomes and adapt treatment plans as needed to optimize results.
  • Perform medically delegated functions under the direction of a physician, as outlined in your collaborative practice agreement.
  • Actively participate in clinic and hospital department projects and committees, contributing to program development and leadership initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for clearly communicating patient needs, care plans, and problem resolution to physicians and other healthcare teams.

Job Requirements

Required: 

  • Active or eligible Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) license in the state of Arkansas.

  • Current AHA Basic Life Support certification
