As our Geriatric Physician Assistant, you will join a well-established hospital-employed group at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital Chattanooga. Every day, you will apply your specialized expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage the complex health needs of elderly patients, focusing on chronic disease management, preventive care, polypharmacy issues, and maintaining quality of life. This involves comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic geriatric care.

To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide direct patient care, utilizing your specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage geriatric patients under physician supervision. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency and a compassionate approach, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and optimal patient outcomes within your scope of practice.

• Obtain medical histories when necessary. Perform physical exams (within established protocol).
• Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines).
• Order diagnostic test.
• Prescribe or recommend medications for prescription for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines).
• Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations for children and adults.
• Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling. Assist the doctor with office surgeries.

Required

• Bachelors Of Science Physician Assistant, upon hire
• Ability to obtain a Physician Assistant License and DEA in TN 
• American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR)
