Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Oncologist, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Lincoln, Nebraska, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients with cancer through radiation therapy, making a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families.

 

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, evaluating patients, developing individualized radiation treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the comprehensive care of patients within our health system. You will practice Monday through Friday onsite, with participation in call coverage, while having the support of an experienced provider and mentor as you ramp up in the practice.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Radiation Oncologist, possessing expertise in the evaluation and treatment of patients with cancer, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

  • Provide comprehensive radiation oncology care to patients across a variety of cancer diagnoses
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on their diagnosis and clinical needs
  • Provide ongoing management and follow-up care throughout the course of treatment
  • Collaborate with the existing radiation oncology provider and multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Work alongside a system-employed APP to support patient care and practice needs
  • Participate in Monday through Friday onsite practice and call coverage
  • Support the continued growth and development of radiation oncology services at St. Elizabeth
  • Collaborate with the multispecialty clinic, including breast health and genetics services, to support comprehensive cancer care
  • Help build upon the existing breast health and genetics program as the service continues to grow
  • Participate in ongoing mentorship and collaboration as you establish your practice and ramp up within the Lincoln community

We are offering a guaranteed two-year base salary, a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance, in addition to a shareholder track opportunity for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

    • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics

    • Active or eligible license in the state of California

    • Strong clinical skills with experience in developmental and behavioral pediatrics

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

    • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families
