MMG is a large multi-specialty medical group of 500+ providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These professionals provide seamless primary and specialty care, working together to meet the unique needs of each individual patient. 

MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Mercy Medical Group is aligned with Dignity Health, operating on a medical foundation model.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Palliative Care Physician, you will join the thriving Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a premier multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region. You will play a pivotal role in our expanding Supportive Care / Palliative Care team in Citrus Heights, CA, delivering high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered care. You will join an established, collaborative team of 6 Physicians and 3 APPs dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients facing serious illness.

 

You will provide comprehensive Palliative Medicine services with a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between hospital-based acute symptom management and long-term outpatient palliative support. You will have the flexibility to craft your practice based on your professional preferences, ensuring a role that aligns with your strengths and interests. Job Requirements

Required:

  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain a license)
  • Successful completion of a Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatric Medicine fellowship, OR
  • BE/BC in Palliative Care, OR
  • Significant experience (minimum 2 years) in a focused Palliative Care program
  • A passion for providing clinically excellent care
