CHI St. Vincent provides you with the same level of care you provide to others. We care about our team member well-being and offer benefits that complement and support your work/life balance.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will join our dedicated surgical team at CHI St. Vincent – Hot Springs, playing a pivotal role in delivering specialized neurological care to our community. You will be a vital resource for patients, serving as a primary point of contact for those undergoing neurosurgical interventions.

Every day you will provide expert clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing patients throughout their surgical journey. You will prioritize efficient, compassionate service, ensuring that every patient receives the same high standard of care for which CHI St. Vincent is known.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated nurse practitioner with strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to thrive in a surgical environment, and a commitment to providing excellent, patient-centered outcomes within our neurosurgical program. In your role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative and postoperative assessments for neurosurgical patients.
  • Manage inpatient rounds, coordinating with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery.
  • Provide clinic-based follow-up care, including suture/staple removal, wound checks, and medication management.
  • Assist in patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery timelines, and long-term neuro-health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation within our electronic health record system to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate seamless transitions of care from the hospital to outpatient settings.
  • We are offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a varied inpatient/outpatient clinic schedule consisting of 12-hour day shifts with some weekends required. Join a mission-driven organization that values your expertise and supports your commitment to advancing neurosurgical care in Arkansas.
