Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner, you will join our dynamic cardiology group at CHI St. Vincent North, playing a pivotal role in the continued success of our established team of 6 inpatient physicians and 1 APRN.

Every day you will provide expert clinical care to a diverse patient caseload, covering general cardiology, arrhythmias, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology. You will provide direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated and skilled Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a passion for cardiovascular medicine, strong clinical assessment skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively with cardiologists to provide seamless, evidence-based patient management. In your role, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with Nurse Practitioner Protocols and all applicable regulations.
  • Manage a wide range of cardiac conditions, including arrhythmias, electrophysiology needs, and interventional cardiology cases.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and counseling to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient operations, fiscal responsibility, and effective resource management.
  • Deliver healthcare services within your full scope of education, training, and demonstrated competence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the cardiology group and the patient population.
  • We are offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a set schedule of three 12-hour day shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Join a mission-driven organization that values your expertise and supports your commitment to excellence in cardiovascular care.
